Nichkhun Look-a-like Cast in Jang Geun Suk & YoonA’s “Love Rain”

Musical actor/pianist Shin Ji Ho has been cast in currently airing KBS “Love Rain,” starring Jang Geun Suk and Girls’ Generation’s YoonA. Well-known for resembling 2PM’s Nichkhun, Shin Ji Ho has been selected to play the role of In Sung, a music student who works part-time as a pianist at the café in the same building as Seo Joon’s (Jang Geun Suk) studio. In Sung is one of those characters who says everything on his mind. He’s slightly cheeky, yet irresistible. He will make his grand appearance on the sixth episode, scheduled to air tomorrow night, April 10.

PD Yoon Suk Ho had the opportunity to watch Shin Ji Ho perform last year and was captivated instantly. The director remembered the young star and altered In Sung’s role so that it fit with Shin Ji Ho.

Shin Ji Ho first gained recognition for his role in “Moby Dick the Musical.”

Girls’ Generation YoonA Wants to Get Married by 32

On the April 7 broadcast of KBS 2TV “Entertainment Relay” Girls’ Generation YoonA made an appearance on the “Guerilla Date” corner. As we reported earlier, on April 6 filming for the show went on in the streets of Insadong. Her appearance immobilized the streets!

YoonA was asked when she wanted to get married and answered, “I would like to get married before 32.” Currently YoonA is 22 so that would be 10 years later!

She was then asked what kind of modifier she likes hearing the most and her answer was, “I think I like hearing that I have become a woman the most.”

Netizens commented, “No~~~ YoonA is only our YoonA,” “YoonA being married at 32? I don’t even want to think about it,” and “For some reason I cannot imagine that.”

YoonA talks about her ‘Love Rain’ kiss scene with Jang Geun Suk on ‘Entertainment Relay’

Girls’ Generation members such as Jessica and Yuri have had on-screen kiss scenes back to back, but now fans are looking forward to a deep kiss between YoonA and Jang Geun Suk on KBS 2TV‘s ‘Love Rain‘.

On a recent recording of KBS 2TV’s ‘Entertainment Relay‘, YoonA remarked that her kiss scene was the weakest amongst the Girls’ Generation members, and forewarned a deeper kiss scene to come.

YoonA also evoked laughter on set with her witty sense of humor during her interview saying, “Jang Geun Suk is blessed with great female co-stars!”

When asked if she was concerned with viewer ratings, YoonA answered, “I’d be lying if I said I weren’t.”

“I have faith in the actors, actress, and the staff members who worked on this project, and it will do well from now on,” she continued.

YoonA also talked about the change in her ideal type, her plans for marriage in the future, and her relationship with the Girls’ Generation members.

YoonA’s ‘Guerrilla Date’ airs on April 7th at 9:15PM KST on ‘Entertainment Relay’.

Girls’ Generation’s YoonA Beats Out miss A’s Suzy for “#1 First Love Icon”

Girls’ Generation’s YoonA was picked as the “#1 First Love Icon” in a recent poll that asked, “Who’s the best first love icon?”

According to online music site Monkey 3, YoonA topped the list with an overwhelming 40% of the votes, beating out female stars such as miss A’s Suzy, Han Ga In, Lee Min Jung and Shin Se Kyung. YoonA currently plays the role of Yoon Hee in KBS drama “Love Rain,” as the first love of Jang Geun Suk, leaving a strong impression to many fans as a memorable first love character.

miss A’s Suzy came in at second with 18% of the votes. Her Seo Yeon role in the movie, “Architecture 101,” who tracks back her memories to find her first love, perhaps played a big role in earning this spot. Han Ga In, whose recent roles in “The Moon that Embraces the Sun” and “Architecture 101” both portray the first love, ranked at #3. Lee Min Jung, Son Ye Jin, and Shin Se Kyung trailed at #4 to #6, respectively.

Park Ji Yoon as a Femme Fatale in “Goodbye Wife”

Singer Park Ji Yoon has returned to the small screen, playing the role of femme fatale, “Oh Hyang Ki.”

Park Ji Yoon’s plays Ryu Shi Won’s first love in her new drama, “Goodbye Wife.”

In the released stills of the drama, Park Ji Yoon entices Ryu Shi Won to stay with her by shedding a few tears and tempting him with her goddess-like beauty. Ryu Shi Won’s character, a married man, is unable to resist her charms. The drama, with Park Ji Yoon’s return to TV as the seductress, has garnered heavy interest among netizens.

“Goodbye Wife” is a romantic comedy about lives complicated because of the hasty decision of one who throws himself into his fleeting desire to start an affair with his first love. The first episode is set to air on May 7 on Channel A.

Girls’ Generation member Yoona voted #1 as natio n’s ‘First love’ icon

Girls’ Generation member YoonA was selected as the nation’s ‘First Love‘.

A poll recently was conducted online, asking netizens which celebrity will forever be the nation’s ‘First love’ icon. During the entire week that the poll was conducted, YoonA was in the lead with little competition.

The singer is playing the female lead in KBS2‘s ‘Love Rain‘ alongside actor Jang Geun Suk as a charming young woman from the 70′s. YoonA’s acting abilities are causing the older viewers to reminisce about their very first love and that was reflected in the votes.

Trailing behind YoonA were miss A‘s Suzy (18%) who played the younger role of Lee Jae Hoon‘s first love in ‘Introduction to Architecture‘, as well as Han Ga In (13%) who also starred in the film.

Others receiving votes were actress Lee Min Jung (11%), as well as Son Ye Jin (10%), and Shin Se Kyung (9%).

Jung Woo Sung Picks After School’s Uee over Girls’ Generation’s YoonA

On April 4, Jung Woo Sung appeared on SBS “One Night of TV Entertainment” for an exclusive interview. During the interview, he was asked about his ideal type of girl group member in a new segment called, “Jung Woo Sung’s Girl Group Ideal Type World Cup.”

In the first round, he picked f(x)’s Krystal over Sulli, but in the following round, he chose After School’s Uee over Krystal. In the third round, it was Uee versus T-ara’s Jiyeon, but he went with the After School member again. The next match up was between Uee and miss A’s Suzy. But without a hesitation, Jung Woo Sung picked Uee, showing his commitment to her.

Next up was Girls’ Generation’s Yuri. This time, it took some time to decide as he mentioned both are very attractive. But he ended up picking Uee again, bringing up the final matchup between Uee and Girls’ Generation’s YoonA. At that point, the star actor couldn’t take it more as he yelled, “Do I really have to pick only one person? No! No way!” He thought for a while, but eventually, he went with Uee again, proving his infatuation with the idol star best known for her “honey thighs.”

He said, “I saw her once on a TV drama, and I liked her regular girl image. She’s tall, too.” Later, he even sent her a video message saying, “Hi Uee, nice to meet you!”

Girls’ Generation Yuri Avoids Acting Criticisms

SBS “Fashion King,” starring Yoo Ah In and Shin Se Kyung, marks Girls’ Generation’s Yuri’s first major acting job. For the past three weeks, Yuri has managed to charm the viewers with her role as the cool and sophisticated fashion designer Anna Choi. While many idol-actors are often criticized for their acting skills, or lack of, Yuri has managed to avoid such criticisms with a solid and convincing portrayal of her character.

According to sources, Yuri had been monitoring the footages from “Fashion King” to study and improve her acting. Additionally, her solid acting had assured several crew members who were initially worried and skeptical in casting an idol. Likewise, YoonA also complimented her, saying, “You’re doing much better than when I first started acting,” Aside from her acting, Yuri has received much attention for her style in the series. Apparently, Yuri’s fashion has been selling like hotcakes from apparel brands that sponsor her look.

Meanwhile, Yuri’s “Fashion King” recorded 10.4% (AGB Nielsen) for its sixth episode, a 0.3% increase from the night before. YoonA’s “Love Rain” recorded 5.3%, and Ahn Jae Wook’s “Light and Shadow” remained in the lead with 23.8%.
