2PM has announced that they’ll be making a comeback as early as January next year!

JYP Entertainment stated, “2PM is currently working under the schedule of making a comeback early next year. We can’t give any details on the exact timing yet but it will be in the beginning of the year.”

This will mark their first comeback in a year six months since their ‘Hands Up‘ release in June of 2011. Since then, the boys have been focusing on international activities while hinting at a comeback in September or October of this year.

Their achievements in Japan seem to have set plans back a bit, as they’ve been named the hottest K-Pop star by many insiders in the Hallyu industry. Their November 14th single release in Japan hit 130,000 sales in its first week.

JYP representatives continued, “The members are all looking forward to their Korean promotions. We’d love it if you all looked forward to it as well.”

Although Zinger is the one that suffered the most serious injury from SECRET‘s car accident, it has been revealed that the other members, who have all been released from the hospital, will still be undergoing consistent check ups.

TS Entertainment updated fans on the 12th about the condition of the members: “Sunhwa, Ji Eun, and Hyosung were all confirmed to have no serious injuries in their additional checkup. The accident happened only just recently, so they haven’t mentioned any other injuries other than the scrapes and bruises. However, since car accidents can have after shocks, they will be treated regularly at hospitals for a while until they are fully healed.

Hyosung currently has a half-cast on her left foot. She had suffered an injury on the same left leg due to a prior knee injury, and she felt pain again after the accident. Sunhwa has injuries on her face, and Ji Eun also has bruises on her legs and will be treated continuously.

Zinger will need 2-4 weeks for full recovery because of her cracked rib and bruised lung. However, both injuries are said to be on the light side, and an additional check-up showed no other serious injuries. The label commented, “Since Zinger is in the hospital, she will get continuous treatment at the hospital. The other members will be visiting regularly to heal their injuries.

J.Y. Park will be returning to court again next month to continue with his appeal against the original ruling of the plagiarism case.

He had previously lost the case as the judge ruled that J.Y. Park’s ‘Dream High‘ OST, “Someday“ had plagiarized Kim Shin Il‘s work, Ash’s “To My Man”, a song composed back in 2005. J.Y Park appealed the sentence, stating that the measures in question could be found in his previous works as well from before 2005.

A hearing was held on December 12th again, without the presence of J.Y. Park, where both sides once again argued their cases. J.Y. Park’s side argued, “Excluding the chorus, it’s a completely different song. This melody and harmony was used by J.Y. Park first in other songs. The repeating of the chorus can also be seen in song such as ‘Nobody‘, ‘One Candle‘, and ‘Hands Up‘.

Kim Shin Il argued back, “His other hit songs may be plagiarized as well. Upon research, I found 6 songs including g.o.d‘s hit song “Mother” that were originally under J.Y. Park’s name have been changed so that they no longer list his name as the composer.

The argument went back and forth for an hour until the judge called for the session to come to a close and decided to resume next month on the 23rd.
