Shinhwa’s Lee Minwoo received financial aid from his fellow members

Shinhwa member Lee Minwoo admitted that he had received financial help from his members.

The members of idol group Shinhwa who are celebrating their 14th anniversary guest-featured on the March 20th episode of KBSWin Win‘.

It was here that Minwoo shared, “I was faced with a financially difficult situation right before we were about to release our 7th album.”

I needed such a large amount of money that even our company could not settle it for me,” he said. “After thinking it through, I thought about getting a private loan.”

But then Eric called me into the bathroom, and gave me the money that the members had pooled together, telling me it was for my birthday,” he explained.

He added, “After he left, I leaned against the wall and bawled because I was so grateful… I realized how lucky I was to have met these people.”

Shinhwa’s Lee Min Woo reveals his income, proves his love for music

Lee Min Woo revealed his income, shocking many viewers and fans.

On the 21st, the members of Shinhwa guested on MBCGolden Fishery – Radio Star“.

The MCs asked Lee Min Woo, “Is your income low even though you wrote the lyrics for some hits?” Lee Min Woo answered, “I wrote the lyrics for Jewelry’sSuperstar‘ and ‘One More Time.’ However, since they were adapted songs, the income was little. 900,000 WON (apprx. $795) was transferred to my account. I got 70,000 WON (apprx. $61) each month.”

Jun Jin joked, “Lee Min Woo is a man that really loves music.”

Netizens commented, “900,000 WON is too little for him writing songs”, “I can’t wait for their comeback”, “The 70,000 WON a month cracked me up.”

Shinhwa members regret going public with previous relationships

The members of Shinhwa expressed regret in regards to publicly revealing past relationships.

On the March 13th episode of KBS 2TV‘s ‘Win Win‘, Shinhwa honestly opened up about their experiences with dating.

Their members Eric, Lee Min Woo, and Jun Jin have all gone public with relationships in the past.

If the relationship is headed for marriage, then it may be okay to reveal it, but if not, it could lead to regret,” Jun Jin said.

Fellow members Eric and Minwoo, who also have had similar experiences, flatly remarked that they did not recommend dating publicly.

Kim Dong Wan also cautiously put in his own two cents, remarking that public relationships aren’t beneficial for the women involved as well.

In the past, Lee Min Woo has admitted to dating Seo Ji Young & Shin Ae, Eric has dated Park Si Yeon, while Jun Jin also publicly dated Chae Min Seo.

DJ DOC’s Kim Chang Ryul shows his support for Shinhwa

DJ DOC‘s Kim Chang Ryul shared a photo taken with a few of the members of Shinhwa.

He shared the above photo via his official Twitter page and wrote, “Whoa, who is this? They are my beloved Shinhwa members. Having a beer party at Minwoo‘s restaurant. Shinhwa’s comeback will be daebak. You guys know everyone is rooting for you, right?”

In the photo, Kim Chang Ryul, Lee Minwoo, and Jun Jin give the camera a thumbs up, while Shin Hye Sung gives a classic ‘V’ pose.

Fans, who were glad to see the boys look so close, wrote, “Supporting Shinhwa’s comeback!”, and “Can’t wait.”

As reported earlier, Shinhwa, the longest-running male idol group in all of K-pop history, are about to make their comeback with their tenth album.

No Min Woo and his fans provide snack cars for the ‘Fu ll House 2′ set

Actor No Min Woo made a thoughtful gesture for his fellow staff and co-stars of ‘Full House 2‘ by personally working with his fanclub to provide a snack car for the drama set.

The cold weather had the staff worried over the health of the stars, but thanks to No Min Woo’s kind act, everyone’s’ hearts were melted with warm coffee, tea, and snacks.

Fans have been looking forward to how No Min Woo will express the character of ‘Lee Tae Ik’, a cold, selfish man who actually has an innocent and childish side to him which he keeps hidden.

The atmosphere of the drama set has been revealed to be highly positive albeit busy due to the broadcast date inching closer. The drama has already been sold to China and Japan, with Japan’s TBS starting their broadcast in May.

Shinhwa’s Lee Minwoo officially discharged from the military & reveals his thoughts on junior idols

Member Lee Minwoo of legendary group Shinhwa revealed his thoughts on his junior idols.

After being discharged from the military on March 2nd, Minwoo greeted his fans who have been anxiously awaiting his return.

In the military, I spent a lot of my weekends at home watching music programs,” he said. “The junior idols these days are extremely talented. It’s also good to see groups who were once rookies be successful.”

When asked if there were any girl groups that have caught his attention, he said, “To be honest, there are a lot more girl groups than there are guy groups. I remember the group names, but I apologize, after T-ara, I can’t seem to remember any of the members’ names,” causing everyone to laugh.

Lee Minwoo has been serving in the Korean military as a public service worker since February of 2010.

Now that Minwoo has been discharged, all six members have officially completed their military obligations. The members will be holding a press conference on March 5th to officially announce their March comeback, and their first stage will be at their first independent concert in 4 years titled ‘THE RETURN‘.

The concert will take place on March 24th and 25th to celebrate Shinhwa’s 14th anniversary, and the boys are preparing for their 10th album promotions.

Shinhwa to have their own TV program, ‘Shinhwa Show’

Korea’s longest performing idol group, Shinhwa, will not only be making their four year come back to the music industry, but will also be appearing on a variety program titled ‘Shinhwa Show’.

It has been fourteen years since the group debuted, and in those fourteen years Shinhwa has delivered lots of laughs and witty comments on appearing variety shows, but this will be the first time they will be starring in a variety show made especially for them.

An insider from jTBC revealed earlier, “We will start filming ‘Shinhwa Show’ with the conclusion of member Lee Minwoo‘s mandatory service.” Since, Lee Min Woo has officially been discharged on March 2, we can expect the filming to kick off pretty soon.

So far, only the name of the new program has been revealed, and the air date and concept is still a secret. Fans are in highly anticipating what the ‘Shinhwa Show’ will bring to the table.

A staff from ‘Shinhwa Show’ stated, “We are working hard to not disappoint fans. This will be a program where the members of Shinhwa will be able to display each of their individual charm.

On another note, Shinhwa will be holding their concert in the Seoul Olympic Stadium on March 24 through the 25th.

Shinhwa‘s Lee Min Woo will be completing his mandatory military service this March 2nd! Much to the delight of fans who’ve waited two years, Lee Min Woo will arrive in Seoul after his official discharge to be interviewed and say hello to loyal fans.

Fans are said to be especially anticipating his discharge as he’ll be the last Shinhwa member to return from military service. Shinhwa is planning their comeback this March, entering into album recording negotiations as soon as Lee Minwoo arrives.

The group is planning to celebrate their 14th anniversary since debut on March 24th with their first concert in 4 years at Seoul’s Olympic Stadium.
