Leessang and G.NA battle it out on music charts for the #1 spot

With hip-hop duo Leessang and singer G.NA releasing their new albums around the same time, the competition for the top spot on music charts is hotter than ever.

Leessang recently pre-released their new single, “My Love“, from their eighth album ‘Unplugged‘ and it immediately ranked #1 on Melon, Soribada, and Bugs music charts. Meanwhile, G.NA is currently reigning the Mnet and Olleh music charts with her new single, “2Hot“.

Right after the pre-release of several tracks from ‘Unplugged’, Leessang accomplished an all-kill earning them the nickname “music chart kings”. G.NA also recently made her comeback with a new sexy concept, which has become a hot topic.

Leessang’s “My Love” was released on the 23rd, and gives listeners a romantic melody with the help of an acoustic guitar. The lyrics tell the story of a man who learns how to love from a woman who loves him unconditionally. G.NA also made her grand comeback to the music scene with “2Hot”, which has a retro rhythm, electronic sound and brass instruments that make the song refreshing to listeners.

Leessang’s full-length album will be released on the 25th, while G.NA is currently preparing for her comeback stage.

G.Na explains the reason she broke up with her boyfriend of 5 years

Singer G.Na shared a story about a previous relationship.

G.Na made an appearance on the May 21st broadcast of MBC TV‘s ‘Come To Play‘ and opened up about a previous 5-year relationship.

“I was popular in high school for being a cheerleader (Captain of cheerleading squad),” she began. “I broke up with my boyfriend because he and I had very different ideas of what ‘racy (revealing outfits)’ was.”

“Even when I wore something simple that was just tight with my jeans, he told me it looked too racy and that I shouldn’t wear it… All girls have a desire to wear clothes that are sexier, but he had very different thoughts,” she said, explaining that his complaints about her fashion caused the two to eventually end their 5-year relationship.

With her glamorous body, G.Na sure can make any outfit look sexy.

Never a quiet day on the charts with the return of Baek Ji Young, IU & TaeTiSeo

With the return of chart favorites like Baek Ji Young and IU, there hasn’t been a quiet day on the digital charts.

Baek Ji Young’s “Voice” comeback is currently first on Melon and Mnet’s real time charts. Although her title track, “Good Boy“, is doing just as well, “Voice” seems to have a lead on the charts for the moment.

IU is trailing right behind at second with her latest track, “End of Each Day“, which is the co-production of hit composers Kim Do Hoon and Park Geun Tae. Following the girl power trend, TaeTiSeo is right behind her at third with “Twinkle“.

SISTAR’s “Alone” is also doing remarkably well given how long it’s been out, and is a strong contender on the charts along with Ulala Session‘s “Beautiful Night“. Busker Busker remains the public’s favorite, as they still hold a majority of the positions on the charts.

They shouldn’t get too comfortable yet, fans are still awaiting the releases of ZE:A, Leessang, and G.NA, not to mention Big Bang, in the coming weeks, making it a fiercer competition than ever and one definitely worth keeping an eye on.

“2HOT” is definitely ’2HOT to Handle!’. The song features a retro melody in a musical style fashion that gives emphasis to a sexy choreography that will definitely be turning heads.

G.Na releases third mini-album, “Bloom”

Singer G.Na who became a hot icon after releasing her past hit songs “Black & White” along with “Top Girl” has returned with her third mini-album, ‘BLOOM‘.

G.Na has actively participated in putting this new album together, helping to write and compose some of the songs. Her title track “2Hot” written by hit-makers Kim Do Hoon, Lee Hyun Seung, and Choi Gab Won consists of an electronic sound, and the brass along with the deep bass help tie the dynamic sound together.

The singer collaborated with singer Jay Park for the hip-hop track “Green Light“, a song where two individuals attracted to one another play hard to get. G.Na also released an English version of her first #1 hit “I’ll Back Off So You Can Live Better” on this album, and it features none other than B2ST‘s Yong Junhyung.

G.Na has returned to the K-Pop scene with not only a more mature look, but a more developed sound and high-quality album that should be a pleasant listen this summer season.
