Hwang Jung Eum greeted fans while in character for her new drama, and revealed the inconveniences associated with going through a major transformation to play her new role.

The SBS official Twitter released an interview about the actress and Kang Ji Hwan‘s upcoming drama ‘Incarnation of Money‘. In the drama, Hwang Jung Eum plays a character for which she must undergo through special makeup and costume to get into the role.

Because of the tedious process, Hwang Jung Eum revealed that despite being excited about her project, there are some inconveniences associated with it. “When I change or want to go to the bathroom, it takes about 10 minutes. I have to take it all off and put it all back on. I just didn’t eat anything today. It’s my first time in 3 years.”

Kang Ji Hwan laughed and said, “Even though she has the special costume on, because she is Hwang Jung Eum she can pull off a lovely, cute character. She’s incredibly cute.” On their compatibility, he said, “I think we are the best couple in history. It’s really funny because we met for the first time and had a kiss scene when she had that costume. I like it and it’s pretty… I’m aiming for the Best Couple award.”

Actress Song Hye Kyo will be making her return to the small screen with new SBS drama ‘Wind Blows in Winter‘ alongside actor Jo In Sung, and gearing up for the premiere, a teaser has been released!

As mentioned previously, Song Hye Kyo will be playing the heiress of a large corporation who suffers from tunnel vision; she is unable to see anything in her periphery. On the outside, she’s beautiful and works hard – it appears that she has everything. In reality, she’s lonely and cold, having a hard time finding her way through life. She hides her vision disability from everyone else in order to avoid being treated differently. She then gets tangled up with Jo In Sung’s character, whom she falls in love with.

‘Wind Blows in Winter’ begins airing on February 13th and features other actors like Kim Bum, and A Pink‘s Eunji, among others.

A few photos of VIXX using public transportation were recently shared online.

The above photos were recently shared on an online community portal site. The photos showed the rookie group dressed in their ‘wolf boy’ stage costume, from the shockingly colored and styled hair, their colored contacts, and intense stage make up. They also wore their stage outfits, and since the boys are also incredibly tall, they made an impressive presence in the subway.

KARA‘s Gyuri expressed pride in herself looking like a celebrity.

On January 24, she tweeted a photo that had been taken from the red carpet of the ‘International Jewelry Tokyo‘ event, and wrote, “I look pretty much like a celebrity here….. hehehe. I’m proud! ( ฅ’ω’ฅ) But I’m sorry to the people who are working hard to be our bodyguards to the side ㅜㅜ“.

In the photo, she wore tight silver dress that showed off her body line and legs, and paired them with pink high heels. She was smiling serenely as she walked calmly through a chaotic crowd, not a hair out of place.

Fans all over the world voted for the most popular idols in their country.

CJ E&M ran a survey from December 11th to the 18th asking users to vote for their favorite idols. The survey received a total of 920,000 votes from 18 different countries including Japan, Russia, Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Australia, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, France, England, Germany, Spain, Poland, United States, Canada, Mexico, and Argentina.

In Japan, TVXQ was voted to be the most popular, receiving 40.8% of the votes. Following were f(x) with 12.1%, Girls’ Generation with 10.7%, 2NE1 with 10.1%, and Ailee with 8.1%. TVXQ also ranked #1 in Russia.

In China, F.T. Island received 30% of the votes to rank #1, followed by INFINITE‘s Sunggyu with 26.5%, f(x) with 15.3%, Super Junior with 10.5%, and TVXQ with 4.7%. The pop rock band also ranked #1 in both Taiwan and Hong Kong.

Super Junior gained 27.1% of the votes in the United States to rank #1. f(x) followed with 11.5%, and F.T. Island with 10.9%. Super Junior proved their huge popularity as they ranked #1 in 10 other countries, including Australia, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, England, France, Germany, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina. They had the most overall #1 rankings.

Big Bang‘s G-Dragon took #1 in Spain and Poland by himself, managing to beat out all the other groups in those respective countries.

Fans donated rice, coal briquettes, and eggs to commemorate the finale of Big Bang‘s World Tour.

The World Tour started in March 2012, and the group kicked off the finale at the Seoul Olympic Gymnastics Hall. Fans all over the world including Korea, China, Taiwan, Japan, England, Turkey, Mexico, Philippines, and Indonesia came together to donate 10,564 kgs (23,290 lbs) of rice, 3,000 coal briquettes, and 2,000 eggs.

With this donation, 100,000 children can eat a decent meal. The rice from the donations will be donated to a charity of Big Bang’s choice, and the eggs will be sent to the National Food Bank to help 30 families in need. 3,000 coal briquettes are enough to keep 30 families warm for a month, and will be donated to the elderly who live alone, or families whose homes are lacking in energy.

In March, international fandoms sent 12,736 kgs (28,019 lbs) and 2,309 coal briquettes and Big Bang fans have been donating rice for every Big Bang or YG family concert. For each donation, Big Bang has sent the rice to children’s centers.

Lee Seung Gi explained why he wrote a handwritten letter to one of his fans.

In an interview with MBC‘s ‘Section TV‘ on January 25 he stated, “I’ve been supporting [those in need] for a long time and one of the girls sent me a letter. I was so touched by it, so I wrote a letter to encourage her“.

Since 2009, Lee Seung Gi has been working with the KBS‘ charity program ‘On-Site Report Going Together‘. He even provided his voice to the narration in the new year’s special.

According to the program, Lee Seung Gi has been helping out 201 families that have appeared on the show. He donated 100 million KRW (approximately $93,000 USD) in 2010, and also donated items he received from his CF appearances.
