SISTAR tops Billboard’s ‘K-Pop Hot 100′ with “Alone”

There seems to be no obstacles in the way of SISTAR‘s domination of the charts, on top of killing Korean digital and physical sales, the girls have gone on to top the Billboard ‘K-Pop Hot 100‘ chart!

On April 19th, Starship Entertainment revealed that the girls had finally put an end to Busker Busker’s position at the top by topping it with “Alone” for the third week of April.

Despite the comeback of big hit stars like 4minute and Nell, SISTAR has managed to secure their place at the top for over a week into their comeback.

Cube Entertainment artists celebrate the opening of ‘Cube Studio’

Cube Entertainment has announced that they have opened the doors to a new personal studio for their artists to mark the start of a brand new adventure together!

On April 10th, CEO Hong Seung Sung and his artists, 4minute, B2ST, G.NA, and BtoB all gathered to celebrate the opening of ‘Cube Studio’. Leaders from each respective group stood alongside their CEO to cut the tape for the grand opening. Although Cube Entertainment was established in 2008, this will be their first private studio where they will be using it as a foundation for their global marketing strategies.

Hong Seung Sung stated, “I created this place to instill a sense of bravery in our artists to help the Korean entertainment industry become one of the best. I hope that this studio will be the start of K-Pop transcending Asia and taking place all over the world.”

‘Cube Studio’ will be aiding singers and musicians to better grow and advance with their skills. The studio will include facilities dedicated to the areas of vocal, composition, performance, production, and choreography training. A special cafe for artists to be able to sit down and communicate with their fans will also be included in the studio. All profits from the cafe will be donated to charities of the company’s choice.

He continued, “Without communication, nothing can be achieved. I want this location right here to be a stepping stone in advancing the entertainment industry.”

Doojoon also stated, “I’m grateful that a lot of people came and are anticipating a lot from this. Three years ago, Kikwang came as the only trainee, and has now become a member of so many new artists today. This deeply moves me.”

Jihyun concluded, “By seeing more family members join and the company grow, I’m filled with thoughts of working even harder. Please look forward to BtoB and 4minute’s broadcast activities.”

4Minute member HyunA revealed her new hairstyle to her fans.

On March 28th, HyunA shared three photos via her official Twitter page and wrote, “Da-dun. I am doing really well, as you can see. I dyed my hair a lion-color.”

Her new brightly colored hairstyle reminded fans of the approaching warm season, and it further brought out HyunA’s flawless and clear skin.

Netizens seemed to like her new look as they wrote, “Only looks good because it’s on you“, “Look like a goddess“, and “Looks amazing on you.”

4minute pushes comeback date back to April

Bad news for 4NIAs around the globe: 4minute‘s impending comeback has been delayed yet again. The pop quintet’s album, which was originally scheduled for January then pushed to March, has been rescheduled yet again for April, according to a recent statement from CUBE Entertainment.

According to the report, 4minute’s comeback is now set for mid-April. While the title track has been selected, the agency is currently focusing on the other tracks of the album and devoting their energy and time in the second half of the production.

“Even prior to deciding on the title track, we were accepting many songs. While using the experience we’ve gained from previous promotions as a base, we are still taking a shot at other genres.” The group is experimenting with new approaches to music and performance to exude a new feeling.

“In order to let fans who’ve waited for so long to hear the top music, we’ve taken a longer time to prepare the new album,” the official concluded. ”However, you will be able to see all five members of 4minute standing together in April.”
