Lee Hyori and John Park are close?

It seems that singers Lee Hyori and John Park may actually be somewhat close.

On April 10th, Lee Hyori posted a picture and tweeted to John Park, “Hey Sung Kyu (John’s Korean name), you are going to come when we have our vegetarian part on ‘Golden 12‘, right? Model Hye Bak wanted to give you this handmade candle.” The handmade candle can be seen in the photo with a message from Hyori’s friend that said, “Hi John. You are __ Super.”

John Park replied, “Wow! I hope Thursday comes quickly,” referring to when he’ll be attending the ‘Golden 12′ filming. The tweets between the two stars are of particular interest to fans as John Park has mentioned in the past that he’s been a fan of Lee Hyori since childhood. Lee Hyori has also brought up on a previous episode of ‘Golden 12′ that she would like John Park to guest on the show.

Followers commented, “Wow, the two of them are close,” “I want to go to the vegetarian party,” and “John Park is getting a lot of love from his noonas.”

John Park’s sells 20,000 copies of debut album in 20 day s

John Park‘s debut album has sold 20,000 copies in only 20 days.

On March 18, John Park astounded by ranking first on Hanteo Chart’s real time record sales as well as the daily record sales.

He released his first mini album ‘Knock‘ on February 22nd and since then he has been promoting his title track “Falling“. After having his album on sale for only four weeks, he has been dominating charts and recieving lots of attnetion from music fans.

It is impressive how John Park has been achieving steady sales despite the competition he has with other well known artists such as Big Bang. Miss A, and 2AM. John Park’s recently had his first place with on March 13′s MBC‘s ’Show! Champion‘ thus further showing his growing success.

On another note, John Park and Song Hye Kyo have been chosen as endorsement models for a makeup brand and released a duet song together.

John Park’s friend Sam Ku advances to the next round on ‘Voice Korea’

John Park‘s hometown friend Sam Ku advanced to the next round on ‘Voice Korea‘.

On the March 16th episode of Mnet‘s ‘Voice Korea‘, the second battle rounds took place and Sam Ku performed a harmonious duet with fellow contestant, Kwon Soon Jae.

At the time of his audition, Sam drew attention for being a handsome contestant and friend of rookie singer John Park’s, while Kwon Soon Jae was the only person out of those who had auditioned with Shin Seung Hoon‘s own song, to be selected by coach Shin Seung Hoon.

The song they were assigned was Brown Eyes‘ “Don’t Go Don’t Go“, and Kwon Soon Jae started the song with his smooth, alluring voice. Sam then entered the ring and began adding his own sweet vocals. With their good looks and charming voices, both charmed the ladies with their performance.

After their performance came to an end, coach Baek Jiyoung remarked, “I turned my seat when Sam Ku first auditioned. I told you that you would regret not choosing me as your coach, and I’m still feeling regretful today. Kwon Soon Jae gave us a fierce and strong impression.”

Coach Gil added, “Gary wrote the lyrics to this song. After the song was completed, we wondered who would sing the song but I can’t believe how different it sounds. There were a lot of mistakes, however.”

I’m going to choose the person that not sang better, but sang the song with a little more ease,” coach Shin Seung Hoon remarked, as he announced Sam Ku’s name.

Heejun Han performs “Right Here Waiting” on ‘American Idol’

American Idol‘ hopeful Heejun Han has impressed once again with his performance of Richard Marx‘s “Right Here Waiting” last night, becoming one of ten contestants to participate in American Idol’s 2012 Summer Tour.

The contestant who offers big laughs on the show with his quick wit has progressed further than his Korean-American predecessors Paul Kim & John Park.

With his recent advancement, Heejun is inching closer & closer to becoming the next ‘American Idol’.

John Park keeps his promise and dances ballet to “Falling”

Singer John Park showed off some of his ballet twirls.

On the March 13th airing of MBC MUSIC‘s ‘Show Champion‘, John won a #1 K-Chart win for the first time in his life. His song “Falling” earned him the ‘Champion Song’ award just 20 days after releasing his debut album.

Immediately after the live broadcast, the singer wrote via his official Twitter page, “Won the ‘Champion Song’ award at ‘Show Champion’. Thank you to all the fans who showed their support!

Along with his tweet, he shared a photo of himself kissing his much-deserved trophy.

But ahead of his win, John announced on a previous airing of SBS Power FM Park So Hyun’s Love Game‘ that he would dance ballet to his song “Falling”, if the song clinched a #1 win on a music program.

Fans were eager to know if he would keep his promise, and being a man of his word, John expressed the joy of his victory with some impressive ballet twirls.

A photo of John’s comical performance was shared on the MBC FMShindong’s ShimShimTaPa‘ website on March 14th and the singer remarked, “I didn’t do anything that amazing, but I’m so thankful I was able to achieve a #1 win. The support of my fans and the people around me was a big help.”

Singer John Park has won the ‘Champion Song’ award at ‘Show Champion‘.

On March 13th, the rookie singer shared the photo above via his official Twitter page and wrote, “Won the ‘Champion Song’ award at ‘Show Champion’. Thank you to all the fans who showed their support!

His fans as well as his fellow ‘Super Star K2‘ finalist Huh Gak remembered to congratulate him on his victory, writing “So happy for you!”, and “Congratulations!”

John Park is currently promoting his song “Falling” from his debut album.

John Park praises “Song Hye Kyo is a goddess”

John Park had nothing but compliments and praise for actress Song Hye Kyo, whom he recently sang a duet with.

Recently, John Park guested on Mnet‘s Entertainment Wide News and revealed, “I met with Song Hye Kyo to film a duet scene for an advertisement. It was an honor. She is an actress that I’ve always liked“.

The singer went on to add, “She was very good-natured and kind. I was so thankful because even though I’m just a rookie singer, she treated me so warmly“.

John Park and Song Hye Kyo have been receiving great attention for the release of their duet song “Switch” and it’s corresponding music video. The two stars’ duet song “Switch” will be used as a theme song for a cosmetics advertisement.

Concluding the interview, John Park stated “It was my first time singing a duet with a female. We were very compatible and the recording session was fun. Song Hye Kyo is a goddess. Even her voice is pretty“.

Meanwhile, John Park’s recently released single “Falling” from his first album ‘Knock‘, is receiving much love and popularity on the music charts. He also became a new spokesperson for the cosmetics company that Song Hye Kyo currently promotes.

John Park to perform Lee Moon Sae’s “In The Rain” with Yoon Do Hyun on ‘MUST’

Rookie singer John Park and Yoon Do Hyun recently recorded a splendid duet performance.

On the March 5th recording of Mnet‘s ‘Yoon Do Hyun’s Must‘, John Park and Yoon Do Hyun put on a impromptu duet performance of Lee Moon Sae‘s “In The Rain“.

The song holds sentiment to both these stars, as it is one John performed on ‘Super Star K2‘, and Yoon Do Hyun performed on MBC‘s ‘I Am a Singer‘.

YB’s guitarist Huh Joon did not hold back his praise for John Park saying, “He is a very polite and well-mannered musician. I am looking forward to his future success,” while Yoon Do Hyun also displayed his faith in the rookie saying, “I knew John would be successful.”

John performed his self-written and produced title song “Falling” on the program, as well as “It Isn’t Supposed To Be This Way” written by musician Kim Dong Ryul.

The singer also covered Adele‘s “Rolling in the Deep” expressing his own unique style, mesmerizing the fans who heard him perform.
